WHO WE ARE
About OverroundHQ
OverroundHQ is an independent odds-data project run by the OverroundHQ Research Desk. We record what crypto sportsbooks actually charge in their prices — the overround, or "vig" — on dated samples, and we publish the numbers as we found them. The measured number is the review. There is no other review.
What we publish
Three things, and only three things.
Dated margin samples. We open a sportsbook in a browser, record the odds on specific events, and compute the overround from those odds. Every figure on the margin board carries the date it was taken and the event it was taken from. When a sample count is too small to support a median — and in our current round, every book is below our n≥6 bar — we say so on the row instead of pretending the number is sturdier than it is.
A de-vig tool. The calculator strips the margin out of any set of odds and shows the fair implied probabilities under several methods, including Shin's 1993 approach for three-way markets. It runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Benchmarks. Context numbers from named, dated sources — operator claims, industry feeds, published studies — so you can judge whether a measured margin is genuinely low or merely marketed as low. How we pick and attribute them is spelled out in the methodology.
What we never publish
- Star ratings. A five-star scale is an opinion dressed as data. We publish the data.
- "Trusted" or "best" lists. We have not audited any operator's solvency, custody, or dispute handling, so we will not vouch for any of them.
- Invented reviews or player quotes. If we didn't measure it or can't attribute it, it doesn't appear here.
- Aggregate ratings in structured data. No fabricated ratingValue, ever. Search engines get the same honesty readers do.
How the site makes money
Plainly: some of the "Visit" links on this site are affiliate links, and if you sign up and bet through them, the bookmaker pays us a commission. That is the entire business model.
What that money never buys is position. Table order on the margin board follows the measured overround and nothing else. A book that pays us commission and prices wide sits below a book that pays us nothing and prices tight. If a sample makes a partner look bad, the sample stays. The full sampling and ordering rules are in our methodology page, which we treat as a contract with readers rather than a formality.
Corrections
Sampling odds by hand invites mistakes: a transposed digit, a live line that moved mid-capture, a market state recorded wrong. When a reader or a re-check surfaces an error and we can verify it, we correct the figure directly on the affected row and mark the row as corrected — visibly, where the wrong number used to be. We do not quietly overwrite data, and we do not delete embarrassing samples.
Who writes this
Pages are produced by the OverroundHQ Research Desk — an editorial byline, not a persona. We would rather sign work collectively than decorate it with invented names and stock-photo authors, a practice we consider a worse trust failure than having no byline at all. Every claim on the site traces to a dated sample we took ourselves or a named external source.
Contact
Questions, corrections, or a margin you measured that disagrees with ours: email hello@overroundhq.top. The mailbox goes live together with the domain. There is no contact form — a form would need scripts and storage we don't want to run, and email leaves you a copy of what you sent us.
One caution before you use any of this. A low margin means you lose less per bet on average. It does not mean you win. If betting has stopped being entertainment priced at the vig, read our responsible gambling page first, not this one.
Data practices are boring here by design — no accounts, no trackers; details in the privacy policy.
